Sheridan Opera House, 2012 Summer Concert Series

Our summer concerts begin this Friday with the Wild West Fest benefit concert. This year’s artist is Imagine, a Beatles Tribute Band out of Salt Lake City. Who doesn’t love the Beatles?! See below for more information.

New to the Wild West Fest this year, we’re hosting a sneak peak screening of “The Last Ride” the Hank Williams story, a feature length independent film about the last days of the country music legend. We’re screening the film this Saturday, June 9 4 & 7 p.m.

Imagine- The Beatles Tribute Band

“The Last Ride: A Story of Hank Williams”
Jun 9/12 The Sheridan Arts Foundation and the Wild West Fest presents a sneak peak screening of the independent film “The Last Ride: A Story of Hank Williams,” depicting the last days of the country music legend who passed away in 1953. Support the Wild West Fest and see this movie before it debuts in theaters around the nation.

Trevor Hall

Lucero in Concert

Hot Tuna
Jul 22/12 Hot Tuna is a blues, jazz, bluegrass, folk and rock band founded by previous Jefferson Airplane band members in 1969. Jorma Kaukonan and Jack Casady were the founding, and still are the primary continuing members of Hot Tuna. The third current member, Barry Mitterhoff, is a mandolin virtuoso who adds Celtic, bluegrass, folk and rock to the already lively Hot Tuna sound. Hot Tuna has released more than two dozen albums since their inception, not including a number of solo efforts by participating members.
Blind Pilot
Aug 9/12 Blind Pilot is heading to the Sheridan Opera House once again – marking their third summer performance at the best venue in Telluride. This Indie Folk band is touring with material from “We Are The Tide”, their sophomore album, featuring 6 musicians and a large assortment of instruments: upright bass, banjo, dulcimer, vibraphone, keyboard, trumpet and beautiful vocals. The band has toured with musicians including The Decemberists, Josh Ribber, The Low Anthem, Laura Viers and Andrew Bird; and has appeared at the Sasquatch! Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Austin City LImts and the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival….
